Ok, first off, I'm not a fan of McDonald's viewing Supersize Me cured me from that, but I will always go there for a quick beverage in the drive through. What impressed me about this place was it had two drive thru windows. I don't think I've ever seen one quite like that. Anyway, a great place to get a soda on your way to another adventure.

Wife and I live in Cornelius, and we decide cooking isn't on the agenda, so McDonald's for some quick, edible grub. Order our usual: a 20-piece McNugget meal to share, and buck burgers. Done this 100 times at various MickyD's all over the place. So they put together our order and only one medium fries and one drink cup are on the tray. I ask where are the others, and they say "oh, the meal only comes with one fries and one drink". "Since when?" I reply. The 20 piece nugz by themselves are $4.99. The meal is $9.79. So that's Four-fucking-dollars and eighty cents for ONE medium Fries and ONE medium drink. Nowhere on the menu does it mention this. Speak with the manager, and she says "well, the 20-piece Nuggets are normally $7.98, so the meal price reflects that." ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. I'm charged more for the 20-piece because it's part of a meal? No other McDonalds on Earth does this. I politely ask for my money back for the entire transaction and walk out, leaving a tray of food on the counter. That's complete and total bullshit. Small-town McDonalds, you gotta love them for fucking their customers any way they can because they think they have a captive customer base. Stay away from this rip-off place like the plague. Drive the 10 extra minutes to ones in Hillsboro.

We have special orders every single time we come through and we've come through probably at least once a month for the last 12 years. I think they've only screwed up our order 2-3 times. Not bad. The renovation was okay, and the play structure is pretty good. The only thing that really bothers me is how few tables are in the play place now. It was the most popular place to sit before and now there is hardly any room. Someone should have use their brain when they planned the renovation. Also, what the crap is up with 4 motorcycle spots right in front of the redbox. I don't think I've ever seen a motorcycle parked there.

This McDonald's gets two stars from me because of the renovation and nothing else. McDonald's are usually all the same because they are required to but when it comes to service here they are lacking and could of used renovation itself. I always find myself having to come back to fix my order and have had to waited 10 minutes or more in the drive through because they have had to wait on something to cook or even once just plain forget about me. I hate this place and usually find myself driving into Hillsboro or North plains if I want a better experience. You can only make a bad McDonald's so much better by a remodel.

This is my local Mc D's, so I'm here quite a bit if I need my fix, the closest one is in North Plains or downtown Hillsboro. The service is pretty usual, they're fast and get everything in the correct order, no issues. The place is pretty crammed at times when I do eat inside, the "drink station" shows real signs of the messy population that can't seem to throw anything away even though the trash is like 2 feet away. They have an indoor playground though, so I think people come here to dump off their kids for some free playtime, so the kids mostly make the mess. I've only dined in several times for this reason. They do have free WiFi, which I didn't use but I'm sure that's why the guy I've dubbed " FG Gandalf the grey" pretty much lives in the front of the store. He's sitting in the same spot, literally every time I go through the drive through or am in the store. FG is full of strangers though ( I have a list). I was at the Redbox out front last week and I saw an older lady, in a Rascal, pulling a homemade wagon with an animal cage that contained 2 cats in clothes. Yes....no lie, I don't have a name for her yet....she has to have at least 2 confirmed sightings to make the list. Also, good luck on getting back out onto the street if you use the drivethru, you will eventually give up and turn right, unless that's what you normally were going to do anyway. I've also dubbed the middle turning lane in front of the store "The gauntlet", as people are trying to use it as a temp turning lane, in/out of the parking lot. LOOK OUT!

Came in, greeted by a worker opening the door for me. Star for her. Greeted by young cashier. Ordered a coffee, small drink and fries. Got the order quickly, almost too quickly. I mean, they have stuff waiting, mostly.. but right after I order... Must not be too fresh. Sat down. Pulled out a fry. Cold. Alright, it was the one on the top, I'll give it the benefit of a doubt. Dumped out the whole tray. COLD. Not like an 'old cold'. Like a 'didn't leave it in the fryer long enough' cold. Went to the front, told him how I don't mean to be rude and explained to him about the condition of my fries. He apologized and gave me a new order of fries. Cool. After waiting at the front for him to return with the new fries, I can feel the attitude in the air. You know, that stereotypical attitude of the workers after 'complaining' about your food.. like it's taken personally. A little irritating to a paying customer. Second fries weren't hot, but weren't frozen either. I'm not trying to complain TWICE. You have ONE JOB. One job. Won't return here.

Mcdonalds is mcdonalds. No question about it. You may look at me and think I'm crazy for giving them this high of a review, and I may be. But let me explain my self. I live in Hillsboro and been to many mcdonalds in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. None of them can top this mcdonalds. I've been to this Forest grove location three times since they reopened and all the times I've gotten food that tasted better then what you get in Hillsboro. Now granted its still fast food and can not top a nice home cook meal or a nice sit down restrunat, but for a fast food joint its as good as it gets. Normally when I go to the Hillsboro or Beaverton locations the food tastes like its been sitting there for a few hours. Not this one. This seems more like Wendys and that they seem to be always cooking the food. (Might explain why they have more staff in back compared to other locations) The staff are friendly and when you are in the loby and they take your order they ask for your name so when your order comes they will say "Order for Chris" so its sort of a nice touch. The loby it self is very nice. Clean and bright. It a new mcdonalds that replaced a 1970s mcdonalds that they tore down in the Summer of 2010., something very rare to find, but when you do its a nice sight to see. The mens restroom is also well kept up. They have dual soda machines and dual condiment sections so when you need to grab a drink or a napkin you almost always can with out the need to wait for someone taking their sweet time. Over all I like this mcdonalds. Yes its fast food and yes I may be crazy for giving it a 5 star review, but the service, the food compared to other locations and the cleanless is what gave me a reason for a 5 star review.
